My name is Charles Mooneyham, and I am an artist, photographer, YouTuber, and decorator. I specialize in creating fine art, faux finishes, and photography. I have been painting for over 30 years and was trained as a classical painter. 

 

When I was 16 years old, my work was first published in the calendar of the United Federal Bank. By the time I reached my early 20s, I had become heavily involved in the music community. Some of my artwork was featured in the music videos of artists such as Robin Ragland and Elizabeth Einstein. Additionally, my art was showcased on the TV show 'Mid Coast Mania' in the 1990s, and one of my original oil paintings was chosen as the album cover for Andrew John's 'In Other Words’.

At age 26, I began working as an exhibition manager for a gallery located in the Central West End. Since then, I have organized, curated, produced, or participated in many solo/group exhibitions, happenings, and installations. These projects have also featured works of other renowned artists such as Lorretta Swit (popularly known as Hot Lips from the TV show M.A.S.H.), Dale Threlkeld, Derek "Deek" Diedricksen (popularly known for HGTV's Tiny Home Builders) and many more.

 

I am passionate about using my artistic talent to support charitable organizations through art sales. In the past, I have supported Friends for Life, Food Outreach, Autism Speaks, Word in Motion, and 'Urban Wanderers', a benefit for Stray Rescue. Moreover, I founded St. Louis Art for Autism LLC and have created and produced several past events to support this cause.

 

I took a short break from painting for a few years. During this time, I worked as a mental health clinician for a suicide hotline and as a registered behavioral technician in the autism field. In 2022, I resumed painting and started creating art again! I accept commissions for art, with family and pet portraits being the most popular. I also offer creative services such as murals, faux finishes, interior painting, wood restoration, and more.
