01 About Us
Charles Mooneyham is an artist based in the Greater St. Louis Region. His studio is located in haunted Alton IL at the famous Milton Schoolhouse that was previously featured on the television show Ghost Hunters. Historically, Charles’ artistic ventures have been deeply rooted in acts of philanthropy or used to benefit the community. Charles has received recognition over the years for his charitable efforts, through the arts, from various newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and blog posts. Over a 30+ year span Charles has organized, curated, produced, or participated in many solo/group exhibitions, happenings, and installations. These projects have also featured works of other prominent artists such as Lorretta Swit (popularly known as Hot Lips from the TV show M.A.S.H.), Dale Threlkeld, Derek "Deek" Diedricksen (popularly known for HGTV's Tiny Home Builders) and many more. In 2023, he returned to painting full-time after a lengthy career in behavioral health, most recently for the suicide hotline. Early in his artistic career he was mostly considered an underground grassroots artist. Currently, Charles work can be found in various galleries, shops, cafes, and events throughout the Greater St. Louis Region and in private collections nationally.
